This strategic addition of talent reinforces the organization’s people-first approach to growth—building around top-tier expertise and deep sector knowledge to drive long-term success.
With that in mind, BFL CANADA is pleased to announce that the following professionals will be coming on board:
- Simon Tardif, Senior Vice-President and National Practice Leader
- Zoran Bratuljevic, Senior Advisor
- Miely Ngoy, Client Executive

Simon Tardif
Senior Vice-President and National Practice Leader—Aviation and Aerospace
Simon brings over 18 years of experience in providing advisory services to clients in the Aviation and Aerospace industry. After having worked as a Senior Underwriter at La Reunion Aerienne in Paris, he joined Swiss RE to build their Aviation practice in France, before being promoted to Head of Aviation in Toronto.
In recent years, Simon was working at an international brokerage firm as Senior Vice-President and Director and later became Branch Manager for the Ottawa Region.
He holds a Master degree in Insurance from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France, and has Aviation technical certificates from the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile in Toulouse, France, and the International Air Transportation Association in Geneva, Switzerland. He has also acquired an academic certificate from HEC Paris and Concordia University in Montreal.
In addition to his roles in the insurance industry, Simon served as Chairman of the Insurance Committee at the European Business Aviation Association in Brussels, Belgium, between 2016 and 2019, and was a lecturer to master degree students at the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile for 4 years.
As National Practice Leader, Simon will be in charge of expanding the practice from coast to coast and developing a national strategy and growth plan. He will be working with client executives across the country to implement this strategy and make a difference with clients and prospects.
Zoran Bratuljevic
Senior Advisor—Aviation and Aerospace
Zoran has over 40 years of experience in the Aviation industry, 20 years of which he spent in the Airline sector, where he held several senior positions in aircraft leasing and passenger and air cargo operations in Canada, USA, and South America.
He also has 13 years of direct experience in the airport FBO/Aircraft Management sector. He held executive positions at Starlink Aviation Inc., as SVP, COO, and President, where he was directly responsible for the full range of associated services provided. Also, during his tenure, the FBO won “Best FBO Facility in Canada” 4 years in a row, offering top-notch customer service and impeccable on-site amenities.
Zoran has also held the position of Senior Vice President at Echo Aviation Leasing, a firm that provides end-to-end support for aircraft transactions, from market research and valuation to negotiation and deal closure.
Miely Ngoy
Client Executive—Aviation and Aerospace
Miely brings over five years of experience in the insurance industry with a specialization in aviation. She has developed a strong track record in managing insurance programs for aviation services such as Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Fixed Based Operators (FBOs), corporate jet services and the fast-evolving world of drone operations.
A Carleton University graduate, Miely earned a BA (Honours) in Law with a concentration in Law, government, and policies, along with a minor in Sociology. Her academic background provides her with valuable insight into the legal and regulatory landscape, enhancing her ability to navigate risk and compliance matters in the aviation sector.
With her comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience, Miely is committed to providing tailored insurance solutions for clients in the aviation industry.
