Barry F. Lorenzetti Appointed Member of the Order of Canada

We are pleased to announce that Barry F. Lorenzetti, CEO, Chairman of the Board and Founder of BFL CANADA, has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada—an honour that recognizes his contributions and impact both in the business world and within the community.

Recognized as one of Canada’s most influential insurance entrepreneurs, Barry F. Lorenzetti founded our company in 1987. Today, BFL CANADA stands as one of the country’s largest employee-owned and managed firms specializing in risk management, insurance brokerage, and employee benefits consulting. He is also a well-known philanthropist with a deep commitment to the community, most notably through his family foundation, which works to improve mental health care in Canada. Barry actively supports women’s entrepreneurship and leadership, particularly through the Barry F. Lorenzetti Centre for Women in Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business. He also supports access to sports for all, through his involvement with the Hockey Canada Foundation and Centre 21.02, Quebec’s first high-performance women’s hockey centre.

This prestigious distinction, presented by the Governor General, highlights outstanding achievements, remarkable community engagement, and notable service to the nation.
