Appointment of Glen Hopkinson As Executive Vice-President—National Claims

With his extensive background in senior management and leadership roles within multinational insurance firms, Glen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will undoubtedly enhance the performance of BFL CANADA’s Claims practice and contribute to the overall success of the company. He will be responsible for bringing national oversight to the Claims practice, ensuring that business execution is in alignment with BFL CANADA’s key strategic objectives.
With over 25 years of experience in global claims management, transformation, and executive leadership, Glen’s expertise includes operational management, regulatory compliance, and strategic business development within the P&C Insurance sector. Since 2013, Glen has worked for a large insurance firm, where he has held various progressive roles within the company, including serving as the CEO of Canadian operations. His thoughtful leadership, strategic vision, and deep commitment during his tenure have significantly contributed to that company’s success. Among his notable accomplishments were successfully achieving market expansion in Canada and guiding his previous company through periods of both growth and adversity. He also expanded key product lines in the market and enhanced relationships with both clients and brokers. Prior to his role as Canadian CEO, he played a significant role in his employer’s digital transformation program as a member of the Transformation Management Office.
