John joined BFL CANADA in 2004. Prior to this, he held Senior VP, Construction Practice Leader role at an international brokerage firm for 10 years. He spent his first years in Insurance in the mid-80s working with a private Western Canadian broker specializing in marine and heavy construction contractors. His career shifted gears in the early 90s when he accepted a senior marketing and client servicing role with a global brokerage company.

John is known for his extensive experience in providing construction insurance and risk management services to owners, contractors, government entities, and banks.

He presently handles the insurance requirements for many of Western Canada’s most active private construction and development companies, including their project risks outside of Canada.

He is the author of many published articles on construction insurance and risk management and is a regular speaker on the topic.
