Claims Management Services

BFL CANADA believes that an insurance broker’s quality of claims service represents one of its true values.  The BFL Claims Team is committed to responding promptly when a claim is reported.  We work with both the client and the insurance adjuster to ensure claims are handled with fairness and efficiency.

Claims for bodily injury or property damage against Public Sector entities are often unique due to legislation that may limit the liability of such entities.  In many situations, the onus is actually on the third party claimant to prove its case.  The understanding of such legislation can be intrinsic to protecting our clients’ interests.  For example, we are very familiar with municipal law and the various Provincial Municipal Acts across Canada, and as such, we act as a resource to our Insurers so that our clients can take full advantage of all the protection afforded by such legislation.

BFL CANADA takes an active role in your overall claims management.  We maintain a database of your claims that allows us to analyse any trends that are occurring and report to you on our findings.  Such findings may lead us to suggest particular risk control strategies that could dramatically assist with minimizing a particular type of loss, or suggestions as to specific retention (deductible) levels that, if implemented, would provide significant premium savings.

BFL CANADA provides its clients with a claims audit prior to every policy renewal.  We can provide these reports at more frequent intervals (semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly) if requested.
